"A Rezadeira" (or benzedeira ) is a traditional Brazilian cultural figure, often an older woman, who performs spiritual and physical healing through rhythmic prayers and medicinal herbs. These respected community leaders are increasingly recognized for their role in popular health promotion and their unique, hereditary healing practices.
