Upon discovering the production, a disgusted Marge flees Springfield. While attempting to call Homer from a remote phone booth, she is seemingly "attacked" by a manatee, only to be saved by (guest voiced by Alec Baldwin ), a handsome marine biologist dedicated to protecting the endangered mammals. Fascinated by the manatees and charmed by Thorn, Marge stays to help with his conservation efforts.
