Encouraged by his friends to move on, Leonard asks out his colleague, Dr. Leslie Winkle (guest star Sara Gilbert). Their "date" consists of a clinical "test kiss" in the lab to see if they have chemistry; Leslie concludes there are "no sparks" and moves on.

To keep the "date" one-on-one, Leonard lies and says the other guys couldn't make it (claiming Sheldon had a colonoscopy). The dinner is filled with awkwardness: Leonard bangs his head on the table while trying to retrieve a dropped olive and later suffers a concussion, ending the night by puking in Penny's car.
